I am redoing the front end of my ln130 surf, getting rid of the lj78 arms and fitting a 4 link with panhard...
The old set up with lj78 arms worked but it had its set backs, like the arms hanging very low on the diff and i lost about 2" of flex
from the mitsy arms that i had befor.
So the aim of this rebuild is to increase ground clearance and balance the flex out a bit...
Lower arm mounts, Fabed from 6mm plate (iv bent 5mm plates on old set up)
new arm mounts place the arms well inboard and about where the old Xmember bolted.
The front of Xmenber picks up on that hole.
Added a bit of a truss to the housing... its a hilux housing with 80 cruzr ends etc cro moly axels and arb..
I run 4.3 diffs i find them nice and strong, Not smashed one yet..,
The new arms are almost done, mounts welded to frame..
Hope to get arms and Xmember zinc plated this week..
The member.. Really only made this due to wanting arms where old member was...
