Nissan MK Safari project
Finally started my project on the MK, Plan is to remove the high profile roof (already started), cut out the rust and tidy it up. Roll bars behind front seats, rear seats and have a canvas roof, intended look is similar to the Army Landrovers. The more I take things apart, the more work that is going to be needed. In two minds with the engine, the SD33T is a damn good engine as they're bulletproof but you do need to pay road-users (yes, intending it to be road legal when I'm finished), or putting in a petrol engine.
Now, on a side point, do have the rear barndoor windows and side rear windows I'm putting on trademe soon. Happy for cash or trade (tools, service etc)

God, The more I strip away, the bigger the mountain gets. At least the rust is only on this side of the top of the doors. Going to cut down behind the rear passengers pillar and going parallel to the windows so maybe able to salvage some steel that it's in good nick to transplant there without too much mods. Hole in floor is drivers side front, and Yes, that's my foot you can see. Definitely need to fix that, don't REALLY want a Flintstone vehicle.
If anyone in the Napier/Hastings area that is a dab at welding and rust repairs, may get in contact in the near future.
